OCHackerz Flying Car Roadable Aircraft Lego & Paper Airplane Competition | OC Mini Maker Faire

Feb 12, 2014

Anil Pattni founder of OCHackerz, team members Classbrain, Oval Integration, QGITS and volunteers participated at the OC Mini Maker Faire by helping kids build flying car roadable aircraft out of Legos and paper airplanes from various design styles to learn about “Flight” inspired theme of the CaraVellair flying roadable aircraft created by Caravella Aerospace.

“At the OCHackerz booth kids and families built some of the most amazing assortment of vehicles transforming into aircraft throughout the day from Legos. Although this competition was designed for kids in our younger generation of tinkerers, we also had a number of Adult submissions too (I think the parents role of assisting their kids reignited memories of their first experiences with Lego during their early years and how much fun it was building out their dreams). One of the other cool challenges we did was to build a paper airplane and fly it the furthest distance on the landing strip we created in front of our booth.” – Anil Pattni founder of OCHackerz.

Check out video to hear more from Anil Pattni at the event as he chats with founder Cynthia Kirkeby from Classbrain and demonstrates the awesome aircrafts made from legos by some really creative kids at the OC Mini Maker Faire also find out who won “The Best Flying Roadable Lego Aircraft” and “Who Flew the Furthest Paper Airplane” competition. Winners received Inventables gift cards.
